The Element Rug I

The Element Rug Collection is an experiment in colour and contrast, exploring the connection between asymmetry and structure, construction and composition, and the tensions inherent in colour. Inspired by De Stijl artists and architects, it uses geometric abstraction and horizontal and vertical lines to create balance, celebrating the interplay of colour within a strict linear, asymmetrical border design.

The Design

Studio Peake’s many years of working together with Christopher Farr on projects made The Element Rug Collection a natural next step for The Workshop.

Handcrafted in Afghanistan from prized Ghazni wool, known for its strength, lanolin richness, and natural stain resistance, each rug is hand spun and hand dyed by expert weavers for depth and movement. Every stage is fair trade audited, delivering a structured design with vibrant texture and character.
