Everyday objects as works of art
The Workshop by Studio Peake is a collection of beautiful, timeless pieces rooted in the belief that even the most everyday objects can be works of art. Collaboration sits at the heart of everything we do. We partner with some of the finest makers in Britain and beyond to create truly exceptional, one-of-a-kind pieces for the home.
The Workshop grew from Sarah’s deep love of working with the remarkable artisans we partner with across our projects. It celebrates the joy of taking an idea from initial sketch to a finished object designed to be used and loved every day. Each piece is born from months – and sometimes years – of creative dialogue, as vision combines with craft to create something totally original.

the creative process

Ideas evolve organically, through the course of long conversations (sometimes about something completely different) with makers. The creative process is iterative and playful, involving many meetings over many months.
Meet our makers
The Workshop by Studio Peake exists to honour the wonderful craft we encounter in those we work with. Creativity comes from collaboration, from dialogue. Our relationships with our makers are nurtured over years of working together on projects and we would be nowhere without them. Our Workshop products may begin as ideas in Sarah’s head, but these ideas only fizz and form into beautiful works of art in the course of months of creative dialogue. Here are some of our key makers.

Rupert Merton
Ceramicist
Rupert works between London and Catalonia, creating sculptural ceramics in stoneware and porcelain. After music, he returned to clay, where function, art, and permanence meet.
