The Elowen Chandelier

The Elowen is a beautiful, handcrafted chandelier inspired by the natural twist and weave of the elm tree. It is an engaging, vivid centrepiece for any room.

Created in collaboration with decorative artist Pierre-Yves Morel, whose marbled painted beads bring rich detail, it features metalwork from Sarah Peake’s London workshop and hand blown glass shades made in Dorset.

The Design

The collaborative process spanned two years, evolving from initial sketches to a metal marquette and finally the finished chandelier. Every element is hand-crafted, with brass branches joined to glass shades by adjustable ball-and-socket joints.

Pierre-Yves Morel creates the wooden beads in Belgium, hand-painting each in gilt, sea green, teal blue and silvery tones inspired by Italian marbles. Available in several colourways, every bead is unique, combining the stone-like appearance of marble with the lightness and texture of wood.
